Each of you took something..

Each of U took something..

Creeping, crawling U came

And stripped, tore and took my skin.. my me..

My love so to say-

And yet a smile remained for the soul that none had yet touched..

In the giving, the stripping the stealing,

Naked she stood of guile

And yet they took more..

Where none they could find..

In her soul she carried ...

A some-body who gave and yet gave nothing at all..

Yet she stood there touching... yet away from it all..

This is very sad. I like this line "And yet a smile remained for the soul that none had yet touched."

I imagine this is how prostitues feel. Every single client takes something but, none of them can take her soul.
Very deep and very sadly beautiful.

The essence of untouched purity.
Like the reflection of beauty.
Not on crystal surface of a mirror,
But on the smooth flow of spring water.
Untouched.
Untainted.
Yet defiled by many; unable to tarnish.

Beautiful poem.

Pretty words and sad. They go beautifully with the painting.

hard to carry that body in our soul, isn't it?

I am not so sure this is sad at all. I guess it is in how one takes it, but this doesn't have to be about taking anything away physically. It could be something taken that is closer to the soul, and yet in reality is offered. Like a poet's poem. Very nice lines.

Good one..dedicated to woman..

Woman is always giving as a daughter, wife, mother , grandmother and often she is taken for granted. You captured the emotions well.

Thank you everyone..yes the soul is the only part that is essentially our own..the rest are what we are with people.
